Hard Choices.com
This web site is about the book Hard Choices for Loving People and is meant to provide some guidance through education for professionals, patients, and their families regarding end-of-life decisions. It covers topics like CPR, artificial feeding tubes, hospice, living wills, nursing home placement, ventilators, and dialysis. Other related topics like bioethics, death and dying, and the emotional and spiritual issues surrounding the end-of-life are interwoven into this educational web site.

Nikki Hospice Foundation For Pets
The Nikki Hospice Foundation for Pets is the first official, non-profit organization of its kind in the nation. It has been founded in response to a need which is becoming ever more prominent in our society. Its main purpose is "to encourage the provision of hospice care for dying pets, so that pet owners who do not wish to choose euthanasia when their animals are about to depart this life or who wish to postpone it can care for them in the home environment--under veterinary supervision and with adequate pain management and/or symptom control."
Peaceful Passages
Peaceful Passages is an organization in New Jersey devoted to helping people die in as natural and holistic way as possible. They help people utilize Complementary Therapies such as massage, healing touch, aroma and music therapies as part of their end-of-life experiences. Through them, you can order a small book called Peaceful Passages that shares sixty short, real life stories about people who have successfully utilized these therapies at the end of their lives.
Samaritan Hospice
Samaritan Hospice was founded in 1980 in New Jersey and is a non-for-profit organization that contributes to the health and well being of the community. It is a leader in hospice, palliative care, grief support, education, advocacy, and other life-enhancing services.
Seattle Chapter of the International Association for Near-Death Studies
This Chapter meets usually on the first Saturday of each month at the Catholic Community Center in Seattle. Anywhere from eighty to one hundred individuals who have experienced near death experiences gather to share their stories and to support one another in coping their expanded sense of reality. Bereavement Publications, Inc.
This is the web site and online catalog for Living With Loss: Hope and Healing for the Body, Mind, and Spirit. This magazine is intended to be a "support group in print," a friend who arrives in the mailbox six times a year. Andrea Gambill founded it in 1987 after years of support group leadership and grief counseling. Having lost her own seventeen-year-old daughter in 1976, Andrea started one of the first support groups of The Compassionate Friends.
Compassionate Friends
The Compassionate Friends is a national organization based in Oakbrook, IL. Their mission is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age. They also provide information to help others be supportive. They are a self-help support organization, and have no religious affiliation. They charge no membership dues or fees.
Crisis, Grief, & Healing
This is a web site to help you understand the different paths to heal from strong emotions. Tom Golden, internationally known psychotherapist, author, and speaker on the topic of healing from loss, shares his insights and books, etc. From his book titles, it seems that he specializes in the masculine aspects of grief.
Dougy Center
Located in Portland, OR, The Dougy Center is the first center in the U.S. to provide peer support groups for grieving children. They have served 14,000 children, teens, and families since 1982, and provide support and training to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children in grief.
